Four Montecito High School students and one Ramona High student won Gold Medals last month in the SkillsUSA state competition and will advance to the SkillsUSA national competition being held virtually June 14-18.
The Montecito students won their awards April 17 in the construction division, with Gold Awards going to students in the high school’s Teamworks, Individual Carpentry categories. The school’s Silver Medals were awarded to the high school Teamworks team and an Electrical Construction Wiring category.
At Ramona High, Charlie Dilts won a Gold Medal in the Auto Service category. The following students won Bronze Medals: Robert Lorn Brinker, Diesel Service; Colin Lester, Maintenance and Light Repair; Zachary Steen, Motorcycle Service; and Payge Lafever, Power Equipment.
